Halloween Walk 2013

Halloween-Walk-2013-large-M

The annual Ridgefield Halloween Walk was held Saturday, October 26th, from 10 a.m. till noon. Once again, Jerusalem Lodge #49 was out in force on our front porch giving out treats to more than one thousand costumed children walking along Main Street. As in years past, we offered candy, little toys, and pencils, ensuring something for everyone.

We had several brothers on hand assisting, including Bros Brad, Don, Paul, "Col. Maurice Sanders," Stano, and myself, WM (and Sir Knight) Jeff. The pictures, taken by Bro Maurice and I, were only possible before the real crowds began processing down the sidewalks. Anyone with additional photos, please email them to the lodge for posting.

Joint Table Lodge with Harmony 67

TL-2013-group-photoOn Saturday, October 19th, Jerusalem #49 participated in two successful, memorable events. The day started with the statewide open house. After a short break to tux up, we convened on Harmony #67 in New Canaan for a sumptuous Indian meal at a joint table lodge. All told, there were brothers from a half dozen lodges present. There was much libation and merriment, making it truly a great experience. (More photos will be posted in the days ahead.)

Open House - October 19th

Open-House-logo

altJerusalem Lodge #49 joined Masonic lodges throughout New England in hosting an open house on October 19th, 2013. The door was open that Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

This provided a great opportunity to learn more about Masonry, meet local Masons, or simply check out a building that has been a Main Street landmark for almost 200 years.

For those with an interest in Masonry, there was also an opportunity to visit other nearby lodges. It truly was a great way to tour some historic buildings, meet Masons, and get sense for how lodges differ and discover a variety of perspectives on Masonry.

Thanks to those brothers were stopped by lodge to help share our perspectives on the fraternity. And likewise, thanks to those who visited. We had many great conversations with prospective members and local residents, several of which who stated they had seen the lodge building for years but didn't quite know what we do inside.

Find other lodges in the area that participate in the statewide open house.

Welcome to Our Lodge

masonic-door-knockerWelcome to Jerusalem Lodge #49 online.

As Connecticut Freemasons, we embrace the tenets of Friendship, Morality and Brotherly Love. We do this by using the teachings of Freemasonry to better ourselves, our community, and each other. At our lodge, we make Masons, enjoy fellowship, and explore the rich history and meaning within Freemasonry. Tour our site to learn about our history, activities, and schedule of future events.

The Masonic Fraternity does not invite anyone to become a member, instead we wait patiently for the special man to knock on our door and seek admittance. Perhaps your visit here is that "knock" on our outer door.

Feel free to browse our site and explore Freemasonry! See for yourself what we are doing in Ridgefield, at the same location (396 Main St.) for over 200 years.

We hope this site interests you into becoming a better man and joining the greatest and largest Fraternity in the world. You may reach out via email on this site to communicate with the brothers. See current degree fees.
